A fine Tulwar sword with an all Wootz hilt from the 19th century.
The all Wootz steel hilt is of open guard form and is decorated with gold Koftgari overlay in floral design, which remains around 75-80% intact.
The gold decoration functions as a decorative border drawing the holders eye to the negative space which displays the watered pattern of the Wootz steel.
The crisp blade retains its original polish and is of flexible spring steel, traditionally referred to as a "Jihajee" blade.
A collectable sword with a host of interesting features.
