A fine and complete Indian Khanjar. The ivory hilt terminates in a parrots head with the daggers suspension cord still attached. The double-edged recurved blade is of Wootz crucible steel displaying an active and vibrant watered pattern of high contrast with a crisp raised central rib and swollen tip.

A gold overlaid Devanagari inscription is found at the forte which contains names ending in Lāl and transliterates to ‘Rāgarasava-lāla camā(ra ..) and Moṇa-lāla-jī ko ga rī kā. Translation pending.

The Khanjar comes complete with its original scabbard with matching silver locket and shape en-suite.
